Learn how to use EndNote effectively – Library & ICT research support team offers both an introductory course and a workshop for more experienced users.
EndNote Introductory Course
In this basic course you will learn how EndNote supports and facilitates your writing process, and how to effectively build your personal database of references. We will step-by-step go through how to:
- Create an EndNote library and import references.
- Personalise an EndNote library by using Groups to organise your references.
- Find and attach full-text to references within your EndNote library.
- Insert citations and generate reference lists/bibliographies in a specific referencing style within Microsoft Word.

Prior knowledge & required installations
It is required that you have EndNote installed when you attend the course.
EndNote Workshop – advanced level
This workshop at advanced level is for more experienced users and requires previous knowledge of EndNote.
Dates & registration
When: No workshops will be held Autumn 2023.
Where: Online via Zoom (Zoom link will be sent to registered participants.)
Prior knowledge
We assume that you have a basic understanding of importing and managing references in EndNote and Word and are familiar with using a reference management program on a regular basis.
