Research in Malmö: Imaging diagnostics and precision medicine in clinical practice
Sophia Zackrisson´s research focuses on imaging diagnostics in cancer. The research spans screening and early detection, risk assessment and personalised diagnostics, often using large data sets and advanced image analysis.
“Imaging diagnostics is no longer just about seeing images, but about combining images, data and clinical knowledge to make better decisions for each individual,” she says.
The work encompasses clinical studies, epidemiology, technological development and AI based methods, as well as patient information and health economic perspectives.

Dignified end for Ivar Broman’s research collection
At the request of the Faculty of Medicine’s board, the Vice-Chancellor has now decided that the collection will be discontinued and the foetuses and children will be given a dignified burial at the Northern Cemetery in Lund. A memorial stone will be erected to commemorate them.
