Lund to become Swedish hub in European initiative on post-sepsis: “Paradigm shift”
Adam Linder, professor of infectious diseases, has long sought better support for patients who survive sepsis – a large and neglected patient group. Now, his work on post-sepsis is gaining new momentum through a major European research project, where Lund is the sole Swedish site involved in several of the sub-projects. This places both Lund and Skåne in a European network focusing on an issue where healthcare still has much room for development.
"I see this grant as a major recognition and, in fact, a paradigm shift in post-sepsis care", he says.
International Sepsis Day is on Sunday, September 13.
