NVivo for Literature Reviews: an Introduction
NVivo can support your literature review workflow in conducting and documenting the analysis process. In this course you will learn how NVivo can support your analysis process as you code, work with themes, and keep track of the material in your literature review. This course is designed for complete beginners and those who have used previous versions of the software.

Course description
The course is divided into two half-day sessions. You will be guided through methodological tips and features of the software. The first session will focus on the basic tools and functionality for starting a new research project and managing your data. The second session will introduce you to more advanced features for data analysis. We will also look at a variety of tools that facilitate the iterative process of coding data from transcribed individual interviews and focus groups.
Prior knowledge and required installations
- No previous knowledge of NVivo or similar software is required.
- It is essential that you have NVivo installed on your device before taking the course.
- The course will be held on PC/Windows. Mac users are also welcome.
