Career planning

Career planning, and career development, is not restricted to single acts performed when for example choosing education or when applying for your first position, but should rather be regarded as a continuous process throughout your career. Neither is it necessarily a linear process, as it can involve a lot of trial and error, and may require revisiting certain steps or taking different paths along the way. The important thing is to approach career exploration with an open mind and be willing to adapt and change course as needed.

Get started with your career exploration

Although career exploration is often a non-linear and rather iterative process, it can be structured into three fundamental steps. These steps are described in more detail in the links below:

  1. Inward - Skills, interests and values
  2. Outward - Explore possibilities
  3. Forward - Take action
