INSIGHTS: The programme where you can uncover the hidden potential in your research or idea

Through a series of four morning seminars, LU Innovation's Insights Programme is designed to help you examine how your research or idea can create meaningful change. No prior experience in idea development is required—we'll start out on this journey together. This programme offers you the opportunity to see your idea or research from different perspectives, and learn to talk about your idea in a way that engages others.

What the programme includes:

• Four 1-hour morning seminars providing key knowledge about innovation.
• Independent work between sessions with personalised feedback from LU Innovation advisors.
• Estimated total time commitment: approximately 10 hours over 4 months.

Our sessions will focus on key themes such as 'need', 'approach', 'benefit' and 'competition, providing a new viewpoint on how your ideas or research can lead to important discoveries. We'll delve into your own ideas or research, examining it from new perspectives, and exploring its potential to change traditional ways of doing things. To finish our journey, we'll discuss how to take your innovative ideas to the next stage, together with us.

The programme is free of charge.

Limited capacity:

The programme accommodates around 30  participants. Apply by September 17, 2025.

After the programme:

Upon completing the programme, you'll have a deeper understanding of the early stages of idea development and a clearer vision of your idea's potential worth for your target users or customers. You'll also understand how to start transform developing your idea from an exciting research result into a practical solution. Furthermore, you'll be aware of the support offered by LU Innovation and have the chance to seek up to funds to further develop your concept.

• Seminar 2: Understand the alternatives:  Thursday, October 16, 2025, 8.30-9.30 am  (@VentureLab by LU Innovation, Kommunikationsvägen 5)
• Seminar 3: Craft a compelling solution: Thursday, November 5, 2025, 8.30-9.30 am (@VentureLab by LU Innovation, Kommunikationsvägen 5)
• Seminar 4: Presentation and future outlook: Thursday, November 27, 2025,  8.30-9.30 am  (@VentureLab by LU Innovation, Kommunikationsvägen 5)

A simple breakfast will be served from 8.15 at all seminars. 

Who can apply?

Researchers, doctoral students and master’s students at Lund University who want to explore the potential of their idea or research. (The number of master's students will be limited to around 1/3 of total participants.)
