The donation is intended for translational cancer research. The goal: to improve disease prognosis and quality of life for cancer patients.

The Mrs. Berta Kamprad Foundation donates SEK 420 million to cancer research at Lund University. This is the single largest donation to the university since its foundation in 1666.

The donation is dedicated to translational cancer research, i.e. applied cancer research in antibody and cell therapies with the aim of improving disease prognosis and quality of life for today's cancer patients.

"This is good news for many cancer researchers at Lund University," says Vice-Chancellor Erik Renström.

Since its establishment in 1986, the Mrs. Berta Kamprad Foundation has contributed more than SEK 770 million to cancer research at Lund University and Skåne University Hospital.
