5 reasons to start planning your summer holiday

All employees who are not teachers must have registered their holiday in Primula by 31 March. If you are a teacher and wish to deviate from the standard holiday, which is automatically scheduled starting the Monday after Midsummer, the deadline is 30 April.

Why you should start planning your holiday now:

  1. To ensure operations run smoothly in your absence

If you are a teacher, you automatically get your holiday scheduled after Midsummer because there is a break in our courses. If you want to take time off at another time of the year, it must be coordinated with your manager. But this applies to all employees.

  2. To maintain a good working environment

For everyone to enjoy their long-awaited holiday, you may need to plan ahead with tasks that take up others' time. Good planning provides better conditions for all parties.

  3. For your own recovery

Even if your job is the most fun you know, variation is important for recovery. Relax, meet friends, or do whatever you want. You get something else to look forward to. Planning is half the fun!

  4. It saves money

If you plan your holiday well in advance, you can often find better deals on travel and accommodation.

  5. It's the law

In Sweden, we are legally entitled to a certain number of weeks of holiday. How many depends, among other things, on your age. If you’re not from Sweden, it might be good to know that you must take 20 days off, regardless of your age or how many weeks of holiday you have. Aren't we lucky?!
