Data management plans

On this page, you can find tips on tools and systems for secure management of research data. You can also contact your faculty library and faculty data steward for advice and practical support on how to best—and most securely—manage your data before, during, and at the end of a project.

DMPonline – a tool for creating and updating your data management plan

DMP Online is Lund University's system for creating and updating data management plans. The tool provides structure and support for your work process: you can easily organise data, materials and documents.

Advantages of using DPMonline

  • You get a clear structure for organizing data, materials, and documents.
  • You can update your plan throughout the research process and download it in various formats.
  • You can more easily meet the requirements of funding agencies.

How to get started with DMPonline:

  1. Go to the DMPonline website (Lund University) and select 'Sign in with your institutional credentials'. DMPonline website (Lund University). Log in using your Lucat ID and strong authentication.
  2. Select 'Create plan' from the 'My Dashboard' menu.
  3. Fill in the mandatory fields marked with an asterisk.
  4. Select 'Select a DMP template' to choose a funder's template, or 'LU standard template for data management plans' to choose the Lund University template.
